On Stars & Stripes
we did things a lot differently than other sailing catamarans. We limited our numbers to half our capacity on our day trip and seldom sail full on our sunset cruise. We also didn't go to the same old Florida Keys reefs that all the other boats went. That's the real advantage to a longer trip.
We made choices unavailable to the half-day boats.

We were the only sailboat in Key West with a permit to take passengers into the
islands of The Key West National Wildlife Refuge.

 

You can't find The Stars & Stripes on the dock at Lands End Village Marina
at Key West Bight because the boat has been sold.


  
 


Since Stars & Stripes is a Catamaran,
she sails flat and comfortable, with no leaning like a conventional single hulled boat.
You could set your drink down without it spilling over.

  Our cockpit seating area was 70% shaded, so you could get out of the sun any time you desired.
The broad decks of our sailing catamaran, Stars & Stripes, offered plenty of space for lying out in
the Florida Keys sun and working on your tan.

  The food served on Stars & Stripes was a special treat, starting the moment you step on-board,
with pastries and tropical fruit juice. Lunch was a delicious feast,
including: freshly prepared salads, fruit platters, meats, cheeses and other surprise goodies.
 
 On Stars & Stripes you learned about the local history and ecology and our crew showed you how to get close to critters with your waterproof cameras. Basically you found out what makes
the Florida Keys such a special place and your stressful daily life up north was forgotten.
   In short, you were our honored guest and we loved to show you around our backyard.

Our most often asked question was : DO WE HAVE TO GO BACK NOW?
